Re: how many inches?
Crack repair has more to do with technique and resin choice than it does with equipment. With the proper technique, you can repair cracks of any length with a Delta Kits repair system.
However, cracks will always be visible from certain angles and lighting conditions. For this reason, Delta Kits does not advocate the repair of over 6 inches, except in areas of the windshield where the repair will not be a distraction to the driver of the vehicle. These areas include the area at or below the wiper rest position, the shade band, the frit band, and corners.
Insurance companies also have recommendations and limitations in some cases, as to how long of a crack should be repaired. If you are billing insurance, you check to see if the insurance company will pay for the repair.
The question is not so much can long cracks be done, but if they should be done. That is a question each technician has to answer for him or herself.
Delta Kits believes safety comes first, customer satisfaction second, and personal profit third. Luckily, if you take care of one and two, 3 is sure to follow.

Re: how many inches?
Thank you Brent for the valuable information.. I'm really want to start this business, and I'm been looking into delta kit and the Glass mechanix.. And I notice that the Glass Mechanic have kit included crack repair up to 24 inches.. and the kit cost 1000 dollars more than the Delta kit.... And I hear better things about Delta kit.. So your master kit is under 1000 dollars.. So I will be buying the delta kit.. will you be having a class in Spokane, Wa any time soon? Thanks

Re: how many inches?
Sorry, no classes in Spokane in the near future.
Eugene classes are held every month for free. About an 8 hour drive, or 1.5 hour flight from Spokane.
The only training class we have scheduled outside of Eugene is on January 21, in Florida. That's a bit far to travel, but the weather is great that time of year, and with the Mobile Tech expo being held that week, it's a good excuse for a business trip/vacation.

Re: how many inches?
Eugene training classes are on Fridays, usually the third Friday of each month. The next class is on December 15, 2006.
January's class will be held in Orlando, FL on January 21, 2007. Because that is the 3rd weekend of the month, we will not have the Eugene class that weekend. A replacement date for the Eugene training has not yet been set.
February's class will be held in Eugene on February 16, 2007.
Eugene training classes are held at the Eugene Hilton, which is in the heart of downtown Eugene, so that is the most convenient place to stay. Please send an e-mail to info@deltakits.com to request hotel information and directions. If you want a list of other local hotels that may offer better rates, just add that request to your e-mail and we will compile a list for you.
I hope to see you there.

Re: how many inches?
Sorry, I posted some incorrect info and had to delete it. I will need to get back to you with the Eugene training date for February. We will be in Florida the third week of the month in January and February, so the Eugene training dates will need to be re-scheduled. Please send us an e-mail or give us a call so we can find a date that would fit your schedule if at all possible.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: how many inches?
One day of intense hands on training. No purchase necessary, we supply all tools and supplies.
Held at the Eugene Hilton in downtown Eugene, so staying there is the most convenient, both for training, and for leasure.
Always on Fridays, usually on the 3rd Friday of each month, but that will not be the case for January and February, as we will be attending the Mobile Tech Expo and the National Auto Glass Conference.
Give us a call or send us an e-mail with your contact info and we will send you updated training dates for January and/or February classes as soon as we have that information. We will also send you hotel information and directions.
