Inside layer and outside layer chip

Hi,
I just had my first inside/outside repair and it came out great, but was wondering what the correct procedure is:
This was a large combination chip on the outside and a star crack on the inside. I had to carefully examine this to determine which legs were on the inner and which on the outer layer.
I filled and tabbed the outside and larger first, but did not cure. Then filled and tabbed the inside. Then cured from outside first.
I was wondering thereafter if I should not have done it in any other sequence.
Anyone have experience with these?

If you had damage that fractured both panes of glass...I would have considered this one of those times to decline repair and suggest replacement. No tips other than safety first.

Thanks, as the repair came out extremely well, and had no real problems it may then seem if I was maybe just lucky?

I agree - this is a boo boo. When both layers of glass are compromised, the windshield is no longer structurally sound. As you might not know, the windshield is a structural element of the vehicle and protects the occupants in the event of an accident.

Oh no and here's me thinking I did a good job! Thanks for the info, as they say one never stops learning. First time I have seen the Rolags and I am not aware of such in the RSA, but it makes good sense.
