Hi,

Just wanted to know if any of you guys have tried the car clubs, classic cars, modified car event (indoors/outdoors)????

has it been a success or a waste of time???

working on a marketing plan on the repair business and looking for ideas on attracting customers so really appreciate any comments.

Thanks,

If there are cars there are windshields therefore there are customers. I would say that this is not a busy market but there should be some work. Depending on how much you want to earn is whether it is worth while or not. For me I would say not.

I like to turn up do 3 or 4 jobs and then get awa, to either to the next customer or home, depending on if I have met my target for the day or not.

Give me dealers and fleets any time, but then again who am I to say if I do it right or not?

Last year my son (18) was begging for cash (do all kids do that or just mine?) dropped him off at the hot rod show with a kit in his backpack some reciepts and a cell phone to call ACT lots of these guys drive thier rods into the show from east podunct and invariably get a shot on the way he picked up 8 repairs in a couple hours and I didnt have to give him any cash out of my pocket for the new skateboard so the answer would be if you look professional with company shirt and a proper reciept book the work is there

In our area classic cars are hudge. Hot August Nights for example. We attend many car shows and have even had booths with our prioducts. In our experience it has really paid off. People with classic cars also have everyday vehicles that they usually want to keep looking top notch. We also usaully donate a few gift cards to the event planners for door prizes, not only is it free advertisement it is also a write off . Good Luck Dawn
