Location, Location, Location

If you do happen to find a high traffic location where you can set up a tent or whatever, you might as well be comfortable and brother I do get comfortable.
I have had a good location before and business was so good I would have 4-5 cars one behind another waiting for repairs.
Fortunately there was a couple good eateries close by and they would leave their cars with me.
Here's my way of "roughing it."
Has a porta poddy, ice chest, generator, stereo, TV and a $1.00 back scratcher.
Also a DVD of dancing girls.
Opps, gotta go repair a windshield.

In finding the owner of the location,ask the businesses next door or look for any signs on the property. A sure way of finding the owner is just start parking there. You'll get fast action. (or maybe none at all.)
I told the owner that I just wanted to park there while waiting for referral cals but I might get a windshield repair there while I'm waiting. Make a low offer, say $100.00 a month and see if they will take the bait. Never tell them how much you make.
They will probably keep a eye on you but won't stand on you. My location was on a heavily traveled street but our population is only about 30,000.
If you are getting tons of business and they raise the rent, pay it.
YOUR making money.
I will say this for low population areas this will only work for 2-3 months and most of the traffic that goes that way will either have had their windshields repaired by you or are not interested.
Time to find another.

Yes I built it myself and I sell the illustrated plans of how to do it also. I believe in comfort. At my age, it is necessary. Also saves the muss and fuss of putting up and taking down a tent.
The portable tent makers say one person can do it but speaking from experience, you better have some mighty long arms and no wind.

Take a vacation with the trailer and work yourself across the USA repairing windshields, seeing the sights and have a ball doing it.
