Quantity or Quality ?!?!

Post by Vancouver »

A recent post by a guy asking for advice on pit polishing to obtain the best results has made me think. We are in business ok. Business is business. Are we looking for quality or quantity? Before you all scream at me, yes we want to undertake the most perfect repair possible because we are professionals (well hopefully we all are). But isn't the nature of our job to successfully stabilise the windshield damage or should we spend half the day making the repair look like the Mona Lisa, or do we compromise and meet half way in the 'cosmetic appearance' if need be? I am not suggesting shoddy quick repairs. Would be interesting to know others thoughts.

i think the quality will sooner or later lead to quantity....

if the quality isnt there, then the quantity will surely go down...

my 2 cents

Guitardood. Is there a typo in your post. Are you saying you are in business for quality and quantity together or is the word "Not" missing in one of the above?

In the past I had found myself guilty of sacrificing quality for quantity. I had so much business and people waiting it made me nervous.
I had to really discipline myself and get back on the road to quality.
A slogan I used to use in my sign business was:
"The bitterness of poor quality is
long remembered after the sweetness of low price is forgotten." Snakespit :p
