Last year I was just about to dive into the windshield repair business and I ran into my first stumbling block, FINANCES! I have registered with the state of Ohio as Nova windshield repair and hopefully this spring I can start. There is no mobile windshield repair business's in my area that I know of.

Government should not stop competition, but I selfishly don't like it when it challenges my business... I quite enjoy my market dominance in my small community. I would be friendly and cordial to the new guy, but would also "fight to win" in keeping my business.

A few years ago I was unable to break into the local Property Caretaking market because I was over-priced. My existing competition was willing to do a job for $9 that I charged $99 for. Some folks don't understand quality, and if someone is offering to use a Napa self-repair windshield repair kit for $5 to my loyal customers... I would lose some to this $12.99 option to my $60 service...

I do support competition however, a free market is the only moral option!
