We have had a website for 2 yrs and I dont have an exact # for you but i'd saw 2 to 3 times a week people say they checked out our website.

I have my own website, but I was disappointed with the traffic results unless you advertise or rank first for your auto glass keyword on google, yahoo, or msn you won't get too many customers. But I like it because my customers use the internet very often and if they need: a service, my business info, or other service they just visit my website. It is very useful and customers like it.
The only two places I used to advertise was superpages.com and yellowpages.com. Superpages is very good if you have a pay per click account which is expensive in my opinion. But you will get good results. Yellowpages is not a good place to advertise - Why? Maybe my location, type of business or I don't know
How many people have website? Not many, Is not that complicated to create your own website. Dont spend too much much on it? I created mine with little knowledge and about $12 for hosting per month. I recommend yahoo as your hosting because they have a great tool to create your own website (yahooSiteBuilder is very easy to understand and use.)
I also created my own auto glass repair directory to list all auto glass businesses by city and states. It took me a few weeks, but I finally was able to have my own directory. I will be promoting it to get customers. My idea is to give another option to advertise your business for less. It is free to list your auto glass business for now. I hope to have a good traffic by the end of the year.
I already have a few listings, but I'm surprised that few have used this free service. A directory is good for two reason: 1) Customers 2) Backlinks= to rank higher.
Anyways is very important to have your own website- it will very helpful for the near future.
