DK Resins

I would like to know the success rate of DK Premium Resin between 25-40 degree celcius - humid conditions, or can anyone suggest a proven resin!

Thanks Mr Bill! I have actually used a sample and I was happy with the pit resin as it exceeded any I have used before, but found the premium extremely thin compared to the resins I currently use. Was just wondering if the heat and humidity had any effect even though it is advertised as an all round resin. I could contact DK for this information but I was really after a field response from the people who actually use it.

I use different resins from GM for different kind of breaks. From what i understand, the premium resin would be best used for tight breaks like batwings and stars. For other breaks like combo's or bullseye's, i'd use the magnibond resin from Delta because its thicker and would allow for the repair to hold. Hope this helps.

The difference in viscosity between Premium Bond & MagniBond is negligible.

6 CPS at the absolute most, but more like 2-3 CPS, which is almost no difference.

They are both all around resins, and are intended to work in all types of breaks. You simply choose which one you like better, and use that resin for all breaks.

Amazing, 2-3 CPS. Jeff, would the repairs even hold for combo's and bulleyes?

Of course it holds, but I think you may have misunderstood. The resin isn't 2-3 CPS, that's the difference between Premium Bond & MagniBond is 2-3 CPS. Have a look at the data in the links I posted.

I have been using the premium bond here in michigan for a couple months I think and haven't had any problems yet. It has been very cold, and several have been done in - temps. I guess if I don't get any calls thru the summer it is one great resin. Too bad I lost half my bottle when I tipped it over on someones garage floor. Negative temps make my fingers unsteady LOL

Yea, it seems they could come up with a better mouse trap to store the Premium resin in such as how they store the magni-bond. But then maybe they like everyone to knock it over. It's just an accident waiting to happen!
