Re: Geico?
When i get a GEICO customer it's through SGC.
Re: Geico?
Thats safelite right? I am not allowed to get signed up with them. I tried and they turned me down saying there were too many techs in my area LOL. I only know of 3 repair only techs in my area.
thanks

Re: Geico?
I was also turned down by SGC, for the same reason. There loss. You can still do work through there network, you just wont get referrals.

Well thanks guys. I had also contaced Geico thru a message to see what they would tell me, before I checked here

Re: Geico?
You heard right. Not only that Safelite will use any means necessary to steal your repair business away from you. I warn my customers before they talk to Safelite that they will try to steer them away and take the customer away from me.tooldini;23738 wrote:Well thanks guys. Make sure you warn your customer about this.

Re: Geico?
tooldini,
Don't feel left out, I've been signed up with SG for over 7 years and haven't had but 5-10 referrals per year. When I do get them it's always 40 miles or more out of my zip area (the ones they don't want or can't profit from). My bigger concern at this point isn't about Geico, it's where are all the AAA of Michigan jobs going too? Last year with Harmon I averaged 10-15 per week, since Lynx took over in January it's been "zero".

Re: Geico?
Didn't the news recently indicate that Safelite (SGC) has been acquired by Belron?
I don't think things will improve... Seems that they not only attempt to steer insured clients but decline to register other repair techs in the network.
