Thank you Air Force

Post by Mike Allen »

well,
thanks to my lovely squadron and the air force in general, I've been forced to close up my business. The phone has been off for a while now but earlier in the week, the final nail was driven home.

But what they don't know is that they buried a hammer in the coffin.

But why is it closed now? new schedule, new people, some big bosses don't really care or support certain things. For instance, I can't get a break in the flying schedule to attend college classes. It is only for "certain" people.

Cannot wait to seperate.

So why did you join? Join the millions of other vets who are grateful the USA is their home.

Maybe things have changed since I was in the Air Force (1955-58). For us it was a 24hour a day job. We flew at all hours, day or night, week-ends or holidays and were proud to serve. We were members of Strategic Air Command.

We look forward to your separation also. Shame on you!

I never said anything about not being proud of the USA or not wanting it to be my home. Please do not make that mistake again.

I have had a pretty good career over the last 9 1/2 years. But here lately my unit does not do what they say. Certain individuals are allowed time off to go to school, get their car washed, do whatever. Several of us even own businesses such as myself. And when I asked why am I not being allowed the same opportunities as the others, I was told "...that certain people can. And those are the ones we choose."

When they need me to fly at the last minute because someone is "sick", I'm the first one they call. I'm the first one they call for alot of last minute things or non-pleasant duties they need done.

Is it too much to ask for a little something back? don't crap all over the ones that take care of you and work behind the scenes to get things done.

yes, this is posted in aggravation and frustration with regards to the current situation.

When one has another job stuff happens
When one works for themselves they answer to themselves
When one works for the Government they have signed thier life and freedom to do other thinga away by choice we have not had the draft in many years as a former USAF intel photo lab tech I know what its like I didnt like it and didnt re enlist and when your time is up you can do what you wish until then you are a servant of the USA 24hrs a day

All that said what does this have to do with WR?
