Business Liability Insurance

Post by GlasWeldTech »

I have a $500,000 general Liability policy for my business with RLI for $189.00 a year. One of my best Dealerships is now REQUIRING ALL VENDORS to have a $1 million dollar policy with his dealership listed as an ADDITIONAL Insured. I have only found 1 place that will do this for $2700.00 per year. There has got to be somewhere I can get this for around $500-$800 per year. I can get policies but NO ONE will add the ADDITIONAL insured. ANy ideas?

RLI will sell it Enterprise Requires the same for me to work there 1 mil and them listed it cost an extra $80 for the year and was easy to add the location as an additional insured the problem you run into is the rep who sells it doesnt make much for selling it and thus wont make the calls to find out what can be done I buy mine thru my Allstate guy

Eddie,

I have had RLI for a long time 1mil @ 201.00 a year. I have all the networks listed and there was no additional charge for that. I just recently, today to be specific went through this process with corp. at Enterprise in my region. As GlassStarz mentioned they require that as well. I will send you an email, mastermind style:wink:

GlasWeldTech, good to learn you're paying $ 189.00 for your protection even so you're living in a hurricane prone terratory like me.
I'm living in Conroe 40 mls north of Houston and hurricane prone terratory also and paying $225.00 as Base Rate for the same $500,000 coverage.
I added $5,000 Business Personal Property coverage for an additional $25.00 and pay a total of $250.00 annually
But still , $225 and $189 is a 20% differance.
How long ago did you sign up, I signed up last week , maybe therefore my higher premium.

Maybe it's different parts of the country, but I have Hertz, Avis, SGC and Lynx as additional insured on my policy at no charge. They were going to add something but I said I would keep shopping around for coverage. They added them with no additional fees.

chips1144,

That would be covered under a much more expensive garage keepers policy.
