They will send you a couple of jobs. Not on a regular basis like LYNX.

Last year they sent me more work than I could handle, so far this year almost nothing! I believe a major part of this was due to them losing AAA insurance to Lynx networks in my area. AAA in Michigan is bigger than State Farm and Allstate.

When I was getting business from them, CSR's were always helpful and friendly and payments were timely.

I guess the important message to share.... is don't place all your repair eggs in one basket. Network and insurance work is great but always remember when they no longer have a need for your services and can handle the load with their preferred shops, you as a small independent will always be the first to go!

Harmon, Lynx, Safelite or whatever networks are all the same. They will use you only when they need you!!! Loyalty to you or any other shops or providers is not part of their overall financial plan. It's all about numbers and profits.

If a network is sending you tons of referrals jump on it because if you don't somebody else is next in line will. Just don't expect it to last forever.

During the period when Harmon needed me, they treated me well and provided me with plenty of jobs...that was then. Today, things have changed.

Just barely better than Safelite with referral volume but extremely slow paying, at least for me compared to the other networks. It is usually 60 days or longer. It always takes a phone call to stimulate payment and usually given an excuse why it is taking so long. The insurance companies they handle are not real big in my area either.

Try to sell all work cash and let the customer handle the reimbursment when possible.

I receive very few referrals from HSG and most are in fringe areas. The insurance companies they handle are not very popular here. And, referrals are usually commercial vehicles which take more time to settle.

I have been having good luck with them for several months now and regularly get at the least 3-5 jobs a week, payment is usually within 30 days. I think the important thing is to always answer your phone even if you have to pull over on the highway. Forward all calls to a cell phone and just answer it. After they trust you and your work they will just fax the job and let you call customer later. Also you can call and ask them why you are not getting many jobs. They can sometimes work things to get you some more jobs. If you can have a happy customer call and mention how great you were. I am now in the top preferred with serveral insurance companies and this really helps getting jobs. Harmon has been good so far but always remember to answer your phone no matter what :)

I think just don't disapoint them if they do help you get more work and it should be cool. I mean I always answer my phone and now many many times they just send a fax or just tell me to call the customer when I can and set up appointments. Good luck Mrchip
