Funny thing... I started a thread some months ago because I was concerned that DF would reduce my work load. :eusa_thin The local distributor is a car dealership that uses me for repairs. The manager called me to repair his wife's star break that she received 2 weeks after having DF applied.

Also, the fleet guy for our local police department, whom I also do repairs for, told me that they probably wouldn't need me anymore because they were having DF applied to all their cars.:eusa_snoo He received his brand new personal police car a few weeks ago, and with less than 200 miles on it got a nice bullseye.

Long story short.... I am no longer worried. I am certain DF is a great product for rain repelling and such, but it should not be sold at a chip-preventer!

I have also repaired DF treated glass. It is a good upsale for new car dealers but I can't see where it REPELS ROCKS!!!!I mean the average soccer mom hears the sales pitch usually given by the F&I manager and she is hooked.

Probably so but only if applied over an un-repaired chip.

The dealer here that used to sell it as an add on always put a sticker about where the oil change stickers go inside the windshield.
