drill bit purchases
Anyone interested in joining a drill-bit and injector tip buying group?
(NOT resins. Resins are a matter of personal preference and not as easily shipped.)
I don't want to suggest a source of supply. Since Delta is hosting this forum, I wonder what they might offer as a price for, say, five hundred at a whack shipped to one address.
Think about it , Delta.
Initial split of the original shipping cost plus a 32 cent re-ship to the members of the group by the original recipient might result in significant savings for all of us.
Whoa. I'm not suggesting that Desert Stars administrate this proposal.
We can figure out the details if the interest is there.

I actually have access to wholesale drill bits! It turns out a family member is in the business of which they produce these in their manufacturing plant. Their largest buyers are in the dentistry field; but they are high quality bits none the less. Give me more details on what you would like this sort of group to do... I am not quite sure that I understand the purpose of your proposal; Although, I am interested
Sincerely,

crack repair techniques
GlassStarz,
I am like that too. Takes me about 40 or 50 repairs to go through a bit. I always drill on low speed and wiggle the top of drill to create a funnel looking hole. Really helps because I never break bits that way.

I should have checked my original post sooner. Didn't realize there were as many replies.
Actually Boyd, buying in the right numbers can bring the price down to around the .90 per bit. Wisecracker didn't quote what he pays through the wholesaler but I would have been interested in knowing what that price is.
From past posts, I know some others who don't drill as much as I do and consequently use less bits.
Apparently, the interest in a buying group is not sufficient enough to pursue the idea.
