Factory Windshield Tint

Post by Onsite »

Here is one I am sure many of you have came across.I have arepair that has a factory tint job on a F150 Harley Davidson special edition.

The question is do you think it will change the color in the tint once the repair has been completed?

Hopefully that made sense.

The tint is in the PVB and the break is in the glass. Unless it is a very old damage and the dye has washed out of the PVB in the break area you will not see a color difference. Most screens we have over here are tinted it should be the same everywhere by now.

All Ford windshields have a factory green tint. If the one you are working on has a different tint someone has mylared the glass. It shouldn't be a problem.
Don't use heat on the inside if it has mylar.
