Costa Rica
Costa Rica
My intention is to pickup my windshield repair kit and relocate to Costa Rica. If possible soon , hopefully the first part of 2008. Of course , I can search the member listings to find the w/s repair tech that may live there, but fiquered this is the easy way to find him . Maybe someone else of you techs from here in the States lived there or is considering moving to Costa Rica also , than we can get in touch and give each other some inside information ! Mucho gracias, Ed(uardo).
Re: Costa Rica
Wow.. Costa Rica... Were you born there or you have family there? I was thinking about relocating to Ecuador in about 8 years.. My wife was born and raised there, and she still have family there.. Beautiful Country!
Wish you the very best..

Hey what happened cazador? Is Conroe, Texas not profitable enough for you?
Like I said with all the parasites running around here with their $10.00 repairs, they have wrecked the market.
I believe I gave you some good advise, correct me if I am wrong?
It is no where near as good as it was 10 years ago.

Ecuador.... Hummmm. Been there 4 times. Beautiful!! Brother taught in an International/American school in Guayaquil for 5 years and and married an Ecuadorian while there.
They just returned last Friday after a month visiting her family in Guayaquil.
Market for windshield repair there??? I can see it possibly in Quito, but not that many other locations?

My wife is from Guayaquil, Its too Hot, and I don't like the humid there.. I really like Cuenca because it a lot cooler and less humid.. We been looking to buy a house there..sydfloyd44;25025 wrote:Ecuador.... Hummmm. Been there 4 times. Beautiful!! Hi associates,
I'm born Dutch , lived in Houston nearly 20 years , went back to Holland 10 years ago to find out I don't fit there anymore.
Moved back to the States 2 years ago , during those past 10 years I travelled Europe like France , Portugal , Spain ,Italy, Germany , Austria , Luxemburg and Belgium on and off during 3 months at the time, you can really say I'm a NOMAD !
I speak pretty fair Spanish and with my w/s repair toolkit I can make it anywhere in this world, I'm mobile !
With my pension from both countries I mannage to support myself , the w/s repair income is what you can call playmoney.
Why Costa Rica , to begin, this country has a tropical climate , no humidity as we have in Conroe/Texas , no army thus peacefull and a lot of retired Americans live there and driving around in their cars on bad roads and you guessed it : CHIPS , STARS, BULLSEYES , CRACKS and what more....!
The sooner I relocate, the faster these can and will be fixed !
I'm not materialistic , hardly own anything of value . live by myself and able to go anywhere what comes to my mind , this time Costa Rica !
Costaricanas, hasta ano proxima !

No w/s techs living or having worked in Costa Rica ??
Than it's like a Dutch saying : In the land of blinds one eye is king !
My future is carved out , I'll pack my bagg and relocate asap after I learn about the social laws of Costa Rica !

Just by using common sense and organization it has to fly , if not , I've one experience more, one illusion less. Will take then the next plane back to the States and pick up where I left off. I've had a couple of restarts in my life already , got experience so to say. Learned also not to worry too much , me no preoccupus , live the Latin way ! With my w/s repair kit, I'll always be able to make a buck anywhere !
