Keeping track of mileage

I was wondering how some of you more experienced techs keep track of your mileage if your personal vehicle is also you company vehicle. I tried putting the mileage on each invoice and have now switched to keeping a log in my car. I am just looking for a way to better organize those records.:eusa_doh:

I just zero my trip recorder every working day and record mileage in a log when I get home.

I keep a pocket calendar in my truck and write the customers name and mileage to each job site.

Damn, you guys are thorough! I just write my milage on Jan. 1 thru Dec. 31.

I'm with Dave, I don't keep track at all! lol Come tax prep time I give it a good ole guesstimate!

Don't keep track of nothing , live it up and spend it all , that's the advantage being 65+ and retired .
At tax time , send them a copy of my last year income tax form , just change the date, works for me !

my accountant said the easiest way to do it without a major headache is take the total for the year and subtract 10% for personal use. Most of us carry our kit with us anyway.
I deduct 10% across the board.
