That's exactly the kind of feedback I am looking for. Let's see who else speaks up here; I am interested to see how the majority feels. There is always a fine line between having a little fun with your work, and having a little work with your fun. We want to keep the forum light and allow people to joke around a bit, but the main purpose of this is forum is to share advice, ideas and concerns about windshield repair. Sometimes conversations get a little carried away, but for the most part I feel we have a very healthy forum community. Hopefully with enough input everyone will take a step back and reevaluate their contributions to the forum for the benefit of everyone involved.

As a Brit I sometimes find it hard to understand the humour of these two, I kept thinking I was missintg something. I think maybe they should keep it to PM'S between themselves. I would certainly welcome any constructive critism but not detructive please. If it makes someone happy doing things the way they do, then that is right for them but not always for everybody else.

You guys need to lighten up and not take things some darn seriously!

My jabs with caz are just for the fun of it. Are people here really goofy enough to think that there is some seriousness to my carnival food comments? Jeez!

If there is no joking....no goofing around...no light hearted behavior....then you are left with a very dry forum. Maybe that's what you hardcore wsr techs. want.

Now, leave me alone while I peddle a few corndogs from my pontoon boat!
It's been raining so hard here I had to do something!

Oh, and just for the record, if you all want to accuse me of attacking another forum member just by making jokes, then perhaps a few of these other fellas, including grouselab, should be looked at. His comments haven't all been favorable either.

I like to check the forum every day.
I want to learn about windshield repair and how to make my repairs and sales and marketing techniques better. That's all I want from this forum.
Strictly business. No comedy. No fooling around.

Splitpit,

Nothing wrong with you joking with others. I personally take your comments light hearted and understand it's a part of your personality. Some people however our more sensitive to your humor than myself or others and don't relate to it.

So my best shared advice to you is to let them know when your messing with them by ending your comments with "just kidding" or "just messing with you". I think that would solve all these issues.

To be honest when this forum first started, at times it became really nasty sometimes and many members got booted or either just left because of all the negativity.

For the last 3 years it's been a pretty clean forum and have enjoyed sharing with others.

As individual techs and business repair owners, we don't always agree but always try to remain respectful of each other.

Let's all try to keep it that way!

A good mix of business and light hearted fun is the way I operate. Life's way too serious anyway.

Brent , I never have felt offended by Splitpit , believe me , I always had the understanding it was in the name of the game! Splitpit came up with some humorous and/or ridiculous suggestions I laughed about, to me it is like one guy trying to be just a little smarter than the other .
Everytime I responded I was curious what his reaction would be , keeping in mind to respect eachother without hurting.
One suggestion leaded to the other one , not more than that !
This is how I look at it , and I vow for Splitpit does too.

I'm with Splitpit ,that life is like a carroussel , you got to put some fun into it , otherwise it's kind of dull .
During my w/s repairwork I always try to put a smile on my clients face, then he doesn't feel that bad anymore about his dammaged windshield .
Everytime I tell them that there are far worse things to worry about and they agree.
La vida es un tombola !
