air disappearing from legs?

Post by zachb »

Sorry for the long post but I can't figure out what happened on a small bat wing chip I repaired earlier today. When I applied pressure one leg grew a little bit but I backed off the pressure and it stopped fine. The middle of the break filled great but I could see lots of air in both legs. After flexing and trying for a while they still wouldn't fill so I decided to cure the middle and then fill the legs separately. This is where it gets weird after curing I removed the tab to find that both legs had somehow filled all the way except for a very thin shiny line in one of the legs. Just wondering if anyone has ran into legs filling on their own after you remove the injector or what could have happened.:eusa_wall

im a big believer in pressure curing and leaving the injector on a couple minutes even after it looks like you have filled things the other thing that may happen is when it cools it shrinks and pulls air into it
