The idea behind it is to expand the glass forcing the air out of the legs. When the legs cool down and open they will draw in resin instead of air. My succes with this method has been limited. I have found that flexing or simple patience provide me with better results. You also have the added risks of daisying or cracking out the glass if to much heat is used.

I have never used it and I guess I never should have too. I am a patient guy, so flexing inside and out it usually good.
