I have recently purchased a new vehicle and unfortunately the windshield was was hit with a small pebble. I noticed a couple of very tiny chips in the window barely noticible to anyone other than me. They are way to small to create any larger damage but was wondering if there is there a process or resurfacing application that can remove them.

I'm not sure of a resurfacing application...I refer to the nicks as surface chips and fill, cure, make flush and polish...I would be interested to know if there is a resurfacing application also...

I used the fill and polish method but found that the filler resin came away over time, probably not enough for it to key into, would also be interested in any other surface treatments.

I know some of you may differ in opinion from my preferred method (because it involves using my drill) but on surface nicks I will always rough up a pit with dremel before refinishing. Doing this provides a nice porous base to which you then can use resin followed by capping.

Been using this procedure for 6 years now and have never seen a cap fall out.
