Hi Yall,
My name is Holt Oliver. On the locksmith forums they call me the Tokenmiser. To long of a story to exlain why. I have been running for about 7 years a locksmith. My specialty is what they call "transponder keys". Most people know them a "Chip Keys" Im sure most of you guys are familiar, but, they are the new type keys used on about 95% of the vehicles on the road today.
Anyway, I also do a lot of lock-out service on vehicles, so the windshield repair buis. seems to go right along with what I already do.
Bought an inexpensive kit repair kit last week and have been learning and practicing on some of my regular car lot customers. Getting better, but, I've got a long way to go. Hope you guys are gentle on rookies here. I am sure to be full of dumb questions in the next few months. So far, I like Delta's program. And thats not just because they sponcer this forum. But I have read a lot about long crack repair. That seems like it would be a big seller, if it works?? Here is my personal E-mail, {Edited by moderator}
At this point, I am looking for opinions on tools/kits and any advice on marketing. I already have a lot of access to the car lots. But it seems that retail and ins. billing is where the bigger $ is.
And by the way, if anyone here every needs advice on anything locksmith related. Please feel free to ask.
Thanks in advance,
The Keymaker:p

Welcome aboard. I will take you up on your offer,
1. What locks are bump proof if any?
2. What brand lock would you advise for home security and still be somewhat decorative?
Thanks.

Welcome to the windshield repair forum Holt. Sorry I had to edit your first post, but I do try to enforce the rules here. If you haven't read the terms of service, please do so.
There are no dumb questions, so we hope to hear more from you in the near future.

Anything with "spooled or mushroom" pins adds a lot of security as far as bumping goes. Master has a mew line out with very good tops pins. MEDICO is one of the big dawgs. They are expensive(about 60.00 cost) But they use a sidebar design and impossible to pick.
As for decorative- My favorite is IMTEC
