No offense intended Nancy...uh...I mean splitpit. Just kidding, just kidding! I really did not mean to ruffle your feathers. You are welcome to your opinion, but that is all it is...it is not fact just because you believe it to be so, or at least that is my opinion.

Yes I make a living selling windshield repair products, but selling windshield repair systems is not where the money is. If people didn't stay in business and continue buying resin I would be out of business in no time at all. No matter how you look at it, an increase in my sales can only come from an increase in successful windshield repair technicians.

I will take you at your word that you are simply stating your honest opinion, but I have to respectfully disagree based on the thousands of technicians that we deal with here in the states and around the world. Many people are starting windshield repair businesses every week and although the degree of success is varied, most consider themselves to be successful. If they were not, they would all be sending their repair systems back to me, would they not?

I had plenty of people tell me I was crazy for quitting my job with the city of Billings to start a windshield repair business because it was too difficult, or too risky, but I am very glad that I did not listen to them. I regularly receive letters from people who say the windshield repair business has changed their lives, just as it did mine.

Again, no offense, just a difference of opinion based on personal experience.

Jordan, if you buy a windshield repair system from Delta Kits you will have 30 days to try it out. If you don't believe it is worth the money, or that the windshield repair business is for you, simply return it for a full refund. You also get to keep any money you make by doing repairs with the resin included in the kit. You really have very little to use. Any other reputable windshield repair supplier should offer.

How long does it take to make a comfortable living is entirely up to you and your individual talents. I started part time and was not a very good salesman, so it took me quite awhile before I was making a "comfortable" living, but then again I was not making a "comfortable" living before I started repairing windshields. I have seen customers put up a tent at a car wash or mall and make a few hundred bucks a day right off the bat, but you have to secure the location first.

Your marketing techniques, the time of year, your location, and how hard you are willing to work are going to determine your success. Many here on the forum are much better marketers than I am, so I mainly had to rely on the fact that I was willing to work longer hours than most until I got some accounts established.

Which ever system you choose, the best of luck to you, and if you listen to splitpit's advice and choose another profession, well, the best of luck to you with that as well. Life is far too short to spend it doing something you don't enjoy.

I issued myself a very stern warning. I'm very ashamed and promise never to get out of line again.

Thanks for the great responses......I am going to take a few days or weeks to study, research, and decide on my decision. One problem is getting over to Oregon for training, it is hard for me to get off work for a couple days straight.

Jordan,

What part of the country do you live in?

We are having a training class in Clearwater Florida on January 20th, which is a Sunday if that makes it any easier for you. We just booked our flights and they were surprisingly affordable.

Interestingly enough it would've been cheaper for us to fly out to Florida from here in California to the show then to travel to Eugene from here as well. More airlines travel to Florida then to Eugene so the options are more vast. Unfortunately other commitments will keep us from the Florida Expo.

I am in Maryland....the Clearwater, FL sounds good but it is no way for me get off work with that short of notice....my job sucks, I make good money but I work extremely long hours and am never able to get two days off in a row, this is one of the reasons I am looking to enter the industry...Independence!!!

Quick question...Do I have to own the delta kit before I go to training??
