I recently traded in another companies bridge & injector and purchased the Delta B300 with the I 100 injector. I was so extremely HAPPY with it I had to start a thread and show my appreciation :eusa_danc :eusa_clap
Thank You so much DELTA...This is the product I have been searching for
I am fairly new to the WS repair industry (approx 4 mos). I had gotten used to my equipment but it was a lot of work to fill the cracks and get all the air out. I was never really satisfied with the repair, maybe it was my technique maybe it was the old equipment.
I received the B300 last week. Today I went & got a replaced cracked windshield from a friend in the body repair business and went to work with the B300. By my 3rd combo break I had felt 100% comfortable and was 100% satisfied with the repair. Since I was just practicing I did repairs with a WS temp at about 40 -55 degrees. I used the Premium Bond and was thrilled with the performance. In a real repair I would never do fixes at that temp, I just wanted to see if I could if I had to. Surprsingly enough the resin flowed extremely well in colder temps.
Again, THANK YOU Delta. I look forward to doing better repairs now.:p
That is good news for me splitpit...now you assured me it wasnt dumb luck for myself. But since I am still a newbie at ws repairs I still go by what was drilled into my head about temperatures. I learn new tricks everyday.....Thanks
Take this for what it is worth. Sure you can do repairs at cooler temps but you chances of failure are greater. I perfer to get the windshield between 70-90 deg when possible. I also find the resin flows even better when it is warm. Good luck and keep practicing.
I had a couple start to run on me this winter about 15 seconds into using the moisture evaporator, but I think that was because I had the defroster on just before that for awhile and the temperature outside was probably at freezing or just slightly above. I even slowly circled outside the impact area some before leaving it on the impact point. I think the moral is the colder the temps the harder it is to control. I also had a larger chip repair fall out this winter, inferior resin or colder weather or a combination of both. I used to live in a real hot climate and probably had as many problems in the heat (daisying was a typical one). So there you go. You just have to get used to the obstacles you're working with
I'm a believer, Ihave been doing repairs for over 10 years now, I have used a number of kits in that time, however last week I purchased the delta bridges and injectors (3 of them) as well as there resin est., just today alone I stopped at 3 dealers that I havn't done work for before, I explained what I will do for them, as far as stopping in weekly, free no obligation inspections ect., each one of them set me up with a vehicle on the spot, I did the repairs by the book ( had problem with my new battery pack ) they all came out perfectly, each one of the fleet managers were not even look at the correct spot when they went to inspect my work, I had to point out were I did the repairs. Delta has great products and even better personal.
