Does anyone do business with any local body/paint shops??MRGLASS;28147 wrote:Hi jkrepair good to meet you. I also am new to w/r and have a delta kit I love it . good luck
I was thinking of a new way to get more retail customers. This may already be used by some but tell me what you think.
I was thinking that you ( the windshield repair tech) could visit some of the more successful, well know auto body repair shops and offer them a commission on each windshield repair they can supply. My has been doing body work since I was a young child and has come across thousands of cracked and damaged windshields. If you can offer them a 10-20% commission on each repair they supply, they might be able to expand your business even more. Just a thought, opinions please....

It is a very good idea! I have thought about it and I am sure it goes on everyday. The only problem with it is the person that is referring you is going to inquire about every repair. Thats is they arent standing over your shoulder & watching every repair. They will expect the 10-20% after every repair. What happens if the chip/crack cant be repaired....now we let down 2 people the customer and the referrer.JKrepair;28148 wrote:Does anyone do business with any local body/paint shops??

Please dont get me wrong I agree with throwing people a few dollars for referals...I just like paying in other ways. IE: buying the shop lunch (Not buluga caviar like SGT likes...lol), maybe bringing in a few pizzas and soda, beers.
