Grex 105 mini DA sander.
The Grex 2 inch DA Sander...
While on my travels looking for the headlight perfect sander I saw this, it says that it has super low air consumption so it would work off a small compressor, (Most DA's need lots of air) it looks like a good tool with an angled head/ handle, it would be useful in tight spaces, its a brand I've never heard of.
They say it has a 3 inch head available too, I know many small DA's are 3 inch and sandpaper is available but I've never seen 2 inch sanding discs... Hope this is useful info to someone.
I saw it on Amazon...

Remember we are not alowed to post web sites "at this time" to promote. But we are not promoting our selves. Copy & paste the name to your search engine and it will pop up under that.
Their Name USA with that .and a com and then pro fastening systems. then product catalog, scroll down to air hand tools...

Unless one of you guys are selling this product or are in some way affiliated with Grex, the URL will be allowed.
I'm just trying to keep this forum from being a sales tool, not keep you from offering information that may be beneficial to others.

That will make it easier to help each other get on the same track when we are talking about something then..

We would be able to post the site or a pic of something that we use and think others may find usefull?
****Of course without SPAMMING the site in every post. It would have to be in regaurds to the subject we are talking about without drifting to it intentonaly.****

When you post a photo it will show up for me to approve. I don't mind responsible forum members posting photos and URLs that are relevant to the thread being posted to, but there are always those that will want to post links to irrelevant sites and photos that have nothing to do with the thread.
Let's try it and see what happens. If everyone is respectful of the intent I think it could be a very good thing. I'm sure I will have to edit some posts and may not approve every photo submitted. For this I will get some grief, but if I quit wasting so much time explaining my actions, we can probably make it work. It has taken awhile, but I think I have gained the trust of most members of the windshield repair forum, and those that still don't trust me probably never will. Such is life.
The worst thing that can happen is that we tighten up the rules again disallowing URLS and photos completely, but hopefully that will not be necessary.

Re: Grex 105 mini DA sander.
I posted the same question on another forum I visit, I recently had a reply saying that the Grex sander uses far more CFM than is stated on all the web sites I had seen, between 8 and 11 CFM that is typical of air sanders, Not 2.2cfm as was stated.
I was told its a good sander, the guy uses it for repairing bumpers.
Grexusa is the website name, I hope Im not breaking any rules, Ive never seen this sander in person.

I am just wondering what is the smallest size air compreser will work in a truck to operate it without sitting around twitling my thumbs to wait for the air to buld up again..
I have a roll top on my truck so I would be looking for a smaller tank unit.. Or just stay with elec.

I can tell you it wont be tiny, go to Sears, they usually have cfm rating printed on their compressors, infact Lowes and Home Depot do too, look at CFM @90psi. you could also contact Grex for a real answeron CFMs, Im sure that 2.2 figure has to be wrong. Dont forget you need to consider how much electricity it will need, you dont want to kick the breakers off.
