I find the computer to be a place where you can say something that can be taken the WRONG way, then you have to be defensive trying to sort things out, of course this leads to arguments and people's feelings getting hurt, I don't judge any one of you in a negative way, I read the advice, I may not agree, but I don't think anyone is the village idiot just because they have an opinion I don't agree with, we all have our own methods and personal thoughts about most of these Issue's.

You Kids need to back off and relax in that office chair, or I will have Brent come around and cane the backs of your hands... Hahahhaaaaaa...

What I'm trying to say is don't get upset, try to get along, I'm sure we all come here with a positive attitude, I know I do.
I get up every morning with the Idea that I'm going to have a good day and NOT ruin it for anyone, I hope you guys do the same... More than that I always treat people in the same way I would like to be treated...

Oh and one more thing... SMILE... that helps too...

I will tell you honestly, I haven't read every single post on this thread, I don't know who said what, this thread has moved very fast, so I'm NOT pointing my finger at anyone.

One last thought, if someone posts something that upsets you DONT REACT, just let it go, it will save you LOTS of Time and Frustration punching the keyboard trying to get your point across...

Why the button on DryStar and not a simple switch?

Second one is after all the years this forum has been here what made you recently decide to post?

I think we all owe Barry a BIG THANKYOU...

I was at the MTE last week, I was watching an Interior repair Pro with a heatgun in his hand, he was repairing vinyl and explaining how much different the temperture can be if move away one, two or three inches, for a powerful heatgun it can be 100 degrees per inch, I believe that is what he said, it can be the difference between a good repair and a new piece of vinyl.

I know butane lighters are sold by most WSR companies but I dont think its such a great idea, what Im trying to say is butane lighters may do the job for some or most of you, but you really have little control of the temperature situation, I think the drystar is one positive way of doing the same thing everytime, surely that has to increase your succes ratio...

I have the spirit of invention in myself, Ive had many ideas but done nothing with those ideas, why? Time and Money... Most of my ideas were for simple little things, some have actually made it to market so I wasnt the only one with that same idea.

I know it takes more effort and money than most people would dream of, so I say good for you, you saw it through and made it to market, thats really is Brilliant.

My Grandfather invented the rear wiper on cars, Yes it was patented in his name, the car makers he dealt with thought it was a great idea and redesigned it so as to avoid royalties, One nut, bolt or washer can change the patent, at least thats what he told me.
I saw patent documents and letters sent between him and the car makers.
He had other inventions most were for safety in mines.

His best advice to me was KEEP IT SIMPLE.

The Button was chosen simply because of cost, both wiring/soldering/labor and added cost of the switch.
The button incorperates 2 parts from another part that would have been wasted, ie. the spring and a reciever that both where used to incorperate free of charge.
labor/parts are very expensive and my goal was to reduce cost and assembly time to the bear min.
I needed to make a phuematic press and dies to facilitate faster production with out compromising quality.
The hard cost of the first run of 300 tools was $100.00 per copy, it also had a switch on the handle (you can see it in the picture on my profile it has a red push button switch), even the wiring needed to be special, it used duponts teflon coating so the wires would not melt from the heat.
It took 1 hour 15 minutes to assemble the 2nd generation tool.
Please keep in mind that was only one example of many changes that needed to take place to enable it to be introduced to the masses.Hence the 6000 total man hours. I was a workaholic

Why post now?

Well, I kinda fell off the face of the earth and hid away in the mountains of north carolina recovering from life when I moved from ohio.

I was lead in the same way the UCM'S was lead to follow me out to the lot to meet some people who my creator worked thru to share a message that changed my heart.

I been doing some travel also and I didnt even know this forum was here till recently.
