Hey Splitpit, give me a warning when you are going to say something nice about me, I just fell off my chair.

The good thing about forums like this is although we do not always agree does not mean we do not respect each others success.

Cheers.

Ok, for those of you who may have thick skulls....I'm not opposed at all to screenman promoting himself by making reference to his award. I think incorporating that into his marketing is a great idea. All I did was indicate that the way he did it sounded boastful and coming from a low key guy like him it seemed out of charactor.

I have a great deal of respect for him.

I'll have to agree with Splitpit on this. I congratulate Screenman on his award and appreciate his expertise and input but I feel his comments or how he approached this marketing aspect was a bit out of character. I certainly am not jealous of what Screenman has accomplished on this forum, in business or the award. He deserves all the positive accolades. Just my observation and opinion!

Screenman,
Would you answer the following questions as if I was new to this forum and glass repair?
What is the Windshield Repair Person of the Year award for?
Who votes for the winner and how?
Is there any connection to the Windshield Repair Olympics held annually?

Other than members of this forum, who else had a say in voting you in as Windshield Repair Person of the Year?

Did you receive any type of actual award, such as a trophy, plaque, or certificate that you can proudly display at your office?

Did you receive any national recognition from any of the various organizations or publications connected to this industry?

Dave M

The vote I think is for being charming, intelegent, good looking and attractive to women.

I think there is somewhere in the region of 2,000,000 people world wide that voted for me.

It is not connected with the Windshield Repair Olympics mainly because we do not have windshields over here.

Splitpea,

I think members of Congress, Nato and the house of commons and lords over here had the main votes but there could well be many others.

I received a large trophy and cheque for many many dollars as well as an extremely large trophy ( for which we are going to build another house to hold) and a superb certificate as well.

I think I received recognition from many of the people I have told, I think there may possibly be a couple in deepset Asia that I have not told yet.

In truth apart from a trophy and certificate I have not got a clue.

So, I don't get it! That's how you would answer a newbie to this forum? To be honest Screenman, I'm a bit puzzled! Actually, I don't remember what the award was for. Was it for a person' input and experience on this forum? Will the real Screenman please stand up!
