OK it has happened again!!!!!

This is the second TRAILBLAZER in 2 months that a combination break cracked out on me.

I am not sure if it is the glass associated with the Trailblazer or its just Trailblazers do not like me!!!

Has anyone else ever had this problem with one particular vehicle?

Im almost at the point if someone calls and has one of these I am going to have to turn them down... TABOO!!!!!!!!!

Not a Trail Blazer.. But learned ions ago about the older Saturns with the curved corners. And the newer Lexus RX's are prone to crack out with almost any shot at wiper level or below. Also the BMW 5 series, tend to get hit passenger side within 4-5 inches above the wiper, they too are like working on egg shells.. Just take a deep breath, explain the possibilty to the customer and use finesse..

The good part with this one was she had only a 50.00 deduct.. I hooked her up with a friends replacement shop and he waived it.. SO she ended up getting a new windshield with no money out of her pocket anyway.

But this is the second trailblazer in 2 months that this has happened.

Im just hoping this isnt a pattern with these vehicles..

It was a nasty combination break though.. And it just happened today as well

It was about a little over quarter size. 1 crack about 1/4 inch on each side, with about 5 other cracks around it... Almost looked like a cartoon sun.

She said when the rock hit, it made the loudest snap, it was almost like someone shot at her she said.

One dealer here had 3 Toyota Highlander w/s crack while defrosting after a snow storm!

Since we are talking about the characteristics of windshields prone to being more sensitive to pressure, I can not speak for all systems but one should exercise common sense for using just barely enough tip pressure to maintain a good seal. May even need alternate setup considerations. Ex.. If your on a radius you may need to set your injector first then level enough to get the seal or alternate between injector and leveling screws a little at a time till you get a seal.

Now I use DK so this method may mean sqaut to some depending on your equipment but across the board I think we can all agree "Pressure" is a common concern during all repairs.

Side note: I think a fundamental that may be overlooked quite often is the setup of keeping the bridge as level as possible when the injector is seated. This will prevent uneven pressure distribution there for allowing better resin flow, vaccum cycles and seal life. FYI, this is not always possible in situations like vert or radius repairs where it may require more input from injector or leveling screws to get a good seal.

"We" were not. "I" was and tought "I" though as a positive contributer, would share some advice to help eliminate what is huanting us for those that still have room to value others contributions. It would appear your not a canadate to appreciate the value since you feel the forum the forum has maxed out. Unless of course I just continue to miss interpet your intellect.
