Tinted resins?

Post by splitpit »

GlasWeld sells tinted resins. Gray for starbreaks. Supposed to better hide the legs. Anyone have any experience or opinions on tinted resins. They also sell amber tinted. ?????

So does Delta, we have tried and tested them and have not found a use for them.

That's kind of what I figured. I was just curious as to their effectiveness.

I use the amber tint, and I do notice difference in the reflection of the refraction. I have repaired side by side using conventional and tinted resins many times with a judging panel of six people. Every person there could see a difference but the ending results were not enough to declare using the tinted resins exclusively.
