Insurance Billing

Post by GGR »

Hellow out their! I have not done any windshield repairs for about a year & a half now & would like to start doing some on the side for spending money. Can anybody tell me what the insurance companies are paying on average? Last I knew it was about $50 for the 1st & $10 for each additional. Is this still the norm?

GGR,
Before I take time to answer any of your questions, would you answer some of mine?

Why did you stop doing repairs?
Were you fully trained?
What do you mean by, "on the side"?
Lastly, have you bothered to read any of the archives(old posts and replies)?

Welcome to the windshield repair forum GGR.

Unfortunately the average has not changed much in the past couple of years, although I have noticed an increase in the reported cash prices being charged by windshield repair technicians in some areas.

Welcome GGR,

Most insurance companies using Lynx are still around $50/$10/$10, some of the update faxes I've received from Safelite show a decrease in what some insurance companies are paying, although most Safelite companies paid more to begin with. A couple notices I've received have changed a $75/$10/$10 to a $65 flat.
