Has anyone ever used Windshield Doctor kits?

Yes, I have. It was my first bridge & injector. I've since traded it in with Delta & went with the B300.
The WD kit did work but I found it a bit heavy on vertical windshields and the pressure & vacuum cycles required more time.

Did you find the WD kit was what was advertised on their site?

In other words did it meet or exceed your expectations?

I would certainly want to see many many improvements to that bit of cheap kit to convince me to buy one. There is no reason why it or any other kit should not work it is just a case of how well. Most well trained experienced techs will be able to do repairs with most tools on the market but why make life hard for yourself.

Unfortunately I made the mistake of ordering one not knowing how unprofessional it would be. There were several things wrong after receiving the kit. The towels were used rags. The light advertised on the website was suppose to fit in the kit but was about 8 inches longer than the kit case. All the other materials were in zip lock bags with such a flimsy case the dividers would not even stay in place. I am very disappointed even though I have not used any of the materials yet. I tried to get a refund to order a Delta but the owners will do nothing. I have invested almost $800.00 and feel like I am stuck.

Fender I am sincerely sorry about this experience with them. I didnt go through what you are going through. I just ordered the bridge, injector and some resin. I did complain to them about the resin & they did send me a replacement bottle. I used that bottle to practice with and thats it.
If I was in your shoes I wouldnt take throwing $800 away to lightly. I would be persistant on calling them & complaining. If that doenst work, I would go through the Better Business Bureau then I would even think about a speaking with an attorney.
On their site they advertise a brand new kit for $809.10 and they advertise a kit that was used in a trade show for $775.00. If you purchased the kit that was used in a trade show, you pretty much agreed on purchasing a used kit. For a $35 difference I WOULD NEVER go with a used kit. But if you did, thats exactly the leg they are going to use to stand on.
Did you buy a trade show kit or did you buy a Brand New kit??

I am not knocking you in any way, shape or form. I am just trying to help you. Please do not take this response as in insult, it is not directed like that :)

No offense taken. I did not order a used kit. It was brand new. I spoke to the owners on several occasions to express my concern. He all but told me to take a hike. I have contacted the BBB and my credit card company but they both want supporting docs on others that have had such a complaint. So if there is anyone out there that has had a problem similar to mine drop me a note so I can get this monkey off my back and order a decent kit. Thanks.

Put it down to a bad experience and get into the business. When I first started like many other I bought a franchise and it cost $8,000 and people thought I was mad, it took me 6 weeks to get my investment back and the business is just as good now. I know it is hard but if you were over here there is nothing you could do and most officials would say it is your fault for not doing your homework. If you find 10 guys that had a problem they only have to get 11 that did not. If they can prove their kit can do repairs which it can then you have no case. Next time buy a kit that gives a money back warranty Delta kits.
