Re: High shipping rates?
This may go a little off line but here goes. The vehicle I use for work does 53 MPG does everybody else get the same figure out of the vehicle they drive whilst we are talking about th eprice of fuel. One of my subcontractors dries and Audi A6 Quatro which returns him 12 mpg and he complains about the fuel he goes through each week. Now if we both earned the same amount and did the same mileage who would keep the most money.
As for writing things down to expenses over here we get tax relief this does not mean the tax man pays for our fuels, resins, etc it just means we do not pay tax on that amount spent, although we still have to earn it. We have many guys who assume that the money they spend is deducted from their tax bill when in fact it is just a percentage. Which depends on how much you earn.
Now I do not mind paying tax I just wish everybody else in the UK did as well.
I am going to sit down now and enjoy a nice pint of beer and think of sunnier climates, hope everything is going well for everybody and that they are not working to hard but still earning a comfortable living.

Re: High shipping rates?
I was working on some website issues today and came across a shipment for $300 worth of product that cost $7.13 to ship, so I double checked your order, and it would appear that correct amount was charged. Just for kicks I added 5 more bottles and the shipping was exactly the same. I'm afraid that is just what it costs to send a 1 pound package via UPS to your location. I wish I could say it is going to get better, but the way things are looking I'm not holding my breath. I have seen huge swings in the fuel surcharge every day lately, so we never know for sure what the charge will be until we process the order.tooldini;30034 wrote:Man I am not usually one to complain about cost except gas,, but it cost me $10.90 to ship 1 15ml bottle of resin today,, I thought glasweld was the only one. They charge me 11.00 to ship 7.00 worth of seals. Sorry but that is just crazy I sold on ebay for years and know this is just not normal. Sorry for the ranting but man $10.90 and then have to wait 5 business days LOL is insane. I love delta kits except for that LOL
This probably seems pretty cheap to Screenman as he would have paid 4-8 times that amount for shipping and then had to pay duty on top of it. on the other hand, most of our international customers are getting their product in two days or less and it can take up to 6 days here in the states depending on the location we are shipping to.

I know what your saying screenman about the price and profit per job and I agree with Brent I needed to order more bottles but truly could only get 1
I was ranting after a coupel cold ones LOL not really that big a deal but you know how it goes sometimes after a long day. Screenman my Isuzu Vehicross gets 13mpg and I am selling it now that it is paid off. Gonna use my taurus it is better around 20+ mpg I think. The last two orders I had gotten two bottles and just didn't really notice the shipping then.

You are right Tooldini, the shipping rates are through the roof. I ordered (3) packs of injector end seals, that might have weighed 20 ozs. and my shipping cost was $15.00. When I tried to change the shipping from 3 day select to regular ground it would not let me. Brent,we need the option of cheaper and slower shipping!

Give me a call and explain this in a bit more detail. You are not required to have anything shipped 3 day! Did this happen about a week ago when we launched the new website by any chance? We are still working out some of the bugs, so if you are talking about an Internet order and you were not given the option to have your order shipped via ground, we need to know about it. I may owe you a few bucks!t4k;30227 wrote:You are right Tooldini, the shipping rates are through the roof. Currently we offer UPS, DHL, and as long as you are willing to accept responsibility for lost or damages packages, USPS. Sorry, but I don't set the rates, and there are no less expensive options that I am aware of now that our carrier pigeon died.
We only offer UPS shipping on the website just to keep it simple, but you are always welcome to call to compare services and prices.

Re: High shipping rates?
Brent - I placed my order on 4-16-08, so yes it was a week ago. The only shipping rate and time offered at the time of my order was 3 day select. I just clicked on an item on your website tonight and it now offers ground shipping. I'll call you tomorrow about the possible refund.Brent Deines;30228 wrote:Give me a call and explain this in a bit more detail. You are not required to have anything shipped 3 day! I am so sorry to hear about the carrier pigeon. He was a dear friend to us all.
