Judging as to how this thread has started and since there are differing opinions offered in other threads (drilling, popping a bullseye, etc.), my advice is to "Try and not get overwhelmed by the advice given."

For example sales is a mandatory part of this business. I personally don't "love" sales. Maybe I don't even like it much. But it is a necessary part of this business, so I do it out of necessity. And when business is good or at least not terrible, it feels good and I'm pretty good at even the sales part. But if everything was hard nuts to crack, I would just hate it. So should I, or should I not be in this business? Well, yeah I am and am making a decent living. (along with a few other services I offer)

There's other advice you'll read that could me taken as mandatory, but it's not really, but it helps you be successful. So try to take everything in and make your own evaluations.

Welcome to the World Of Windshield Repair!
Study the area you live in and take a good look in the mirror and decide what area is most needed in your area and what type of buisness best suits your personality
There are many areas where one can make a strong living in this field
If you are a salesperson/people person consider the Auto Dealerships they like someone who hustles and will provide consistant income but it will take some time to build the area and you will get some rejection persistence is the key here
If you are more methodical and not really a go salesperson try fleet these guys dont need to be sold all the time once you get yourself in the door and they see it will save them time and money you come by on a schedule and make your living.
Some make a strong living by setting up in a fixxed location often with an easy up tent in a parking lot or Carwash many of these repairs are insurance and this can be a good way to earn a living I know a guy who made 50k a year while using his down time to work on his degree on line in between customers a good living for 3 years and a BA not bad
Whatever you choose if done correctly a good living can be made here keep an open mind and dont let anyone tell you it wont work if you need a push to help you make up your mind walk a parking lot like Walmart and count the cars that have chips you will see that there is a bunch of work to be had now you just have to figure out how to get it

And Screenman, do you have that funny sounding british accent???? and do you tell jokes that are only funny to the british people and not to Americans? Give me some examples of things you guys say, phrases that usually dont make any sense. I 'll think of one when I go to bed tonight.

I should have written MTN which stands for Mobile Tech News, I do not think I speak with funny sounding British accent I talk propar like mate, gor blimey govner you are the people that sound odd, you even put your R's in the wrong place when spelling. As for phrases that do not make any sense just read most of my posts on here I am sure some will say that is what I am doing. Get my number off Brent and give me a call sometime it would be very interesting to speak to some of you guys over there.
