Brent, you said you have not filed an insurance claim in awhile... could you shed some light on how you avoid in doing so. Is there particular wording you may use to sway the customer to pay cash vs. claim? Yes I am a newbie . I am sure all of us newbies would like to know the secrets to avoid billing vs. cash.

That's exactly right. I have filed a lot of claims in my day, but most windshield repair professionals in our area use Delta Kits products so it didn't seem right to compete for the windshield repair business in this area. Therefore I have not filed a claim for many years now.
We talk with people who are doing insurance billing every day, and also have contact with representatives from Lynx, Safelite, and other TPAs on a regular basis, so I think I still have a pretty good handle on how it all works, but I'm the first to admit that someone who is running claims through the various TPAs every day is likely to have more expertise in this area than I do.

C M I know it kept me afloat when I was just starting out and if you do some coistering/cold calling in the area while there for your other mobile call it can make that 45$ call a 200$ pretty quick its a pretty easy sell when you tell em its prob no charge to them for the repair
