Kit for sale Ebay
Re: Kit for sale Ebay
Looks as if its one with Agent Rock Chip repair on it instead of the delta logo. I believe they are a defunct repair company from Utah who had all their gear made by delta. You see their remaining stuff here and there on ebay from people who bought it from their company. The hood protectors Brent was selling was also leftovers from this company.
Please correct me if I am wrong. Looks like a good kit.

Re: Kit for sale Ebay
Delta Kits did build equipment for Agent Rock Chip, but they have been out of business for a couple of years at least. The products that we are now selling that still bear the ARC logo are all brand new. ARC was a very good customer so we still had a lot of stock left when they closed the doors. We didn't sell it for a long time as we wanted them to have time to liquidate the equipment they had on their shelves, but now it's time to clean house, so we are blowing it all out.
When you buy off eBay be sure you know exactly what you are getting and what kind of shape it is in. We often have people call us wondering why the kit they bought on eBay does not have all the same parts that a new Delta Kit has. There are several possible reasons. Delta Kits builds custom windshield repair systems for a number of companies to their specifications, so even brand new they may not be the same as a Delta Kits windshield repair system. Add to that the fact that by the time they hit eBay they are often several years old and could be missing parts or have parts that are no longer in proper working order, and you have a product that is no longer anything like a new Delta Kits system. By the time they upgrade to the latest injector model and update the rest of the system, their total out of pocket expense is as much or more than a brand new system.
On the other hand, sometimes good deals can be had if you know what to look for and you trust the buyer. Just be sure that you are getting everything you need, or already know what it will cost to add any parts that are missing or damaged. Often times newbies don't think about needing a training video and/or instruction manual, or that the injectors are probably not the latest model, or that the resins are several years old and sometimes contaminated, or that the batteries may be at the end of their usable life. New parts add up quick so you have much to consider when purchasing a used windshield repair system.
I find that people are not usually interested in outdated equipment even if it is still in good condition. We sold several used kits recently, but in each case we replaced the EZK-3 injectors with new I-100 injectors, replaced the drill batteries, mobile battery system, upgraded the charger/maintainers, replaced the resins, etc. By the time all was said in done the kits were 80%-90% new, so the discount, while still substantial, is not the bargain basement price that customers sometimes think it will be.
Still, we have a number of technicians that ask us to call them whenever we have used equipment for sale so there is obviously a market for it. We hope to have a special section on our website for used equipment very soon, but the truth is we don't get much back. Mainly what we sell as used are nearly new products that we have had on display at trade shows or have used in a few training classes. We put a full warranty on all of these products, including the Delta Kits money back guarantee.
