Post by mrchip »

I broke down last week and bought a Garmin Nuvi 350 ..it was a great deal..$209.00..no shipping charge or sales tax...megagps.com...it was refurbished from garmin..same warranty as new...used it twice today..I should have bought it sooner..just thought i would pass it on if anybody was thinking of buying one

They are new for 199.99 on amazon. 209 is reasonable as i've had no problems with refurbished products. May opt for the new from amazon though with free shipping. How do you like the text-to-speech with the 350? I'd imagine its nice to have it say the street name instead of the distance to your next turn. Has that worked out good for you?

I use the basic tomtom(149.00). It's ok but sometimes sends me to a non-existent road. I also use a etrexh handheld for geocaching.

It worked out real well..it has some nice features and it was nice to hear the street names..didn't think to try amazon..the cheapest I saw in the flyers was 249.00 at circuit city and then we have to pay 7% sales tax ..so I figured I saved around 60.00..and shipping was free..so if you bought it on amazon and paid shipping I still came out ahead:eusa_danc :eusa_danc

Amazon offers free shipping. I didn't mean to point out the price to rub it in. Just another option for others looking to get gps systems. I'd like to get a 350 or 360 soon. Glad you have had a good experience with yours

I happened to be looking at these in Costco today. They have a Magellan with a 4.3" screen for a $199.00 on sale.
