My hope is that you have experience with replacement, if you do than this is a moot point, if not you need an experienced replacement tech!!! People have lost thier lives as a result of shoddy replacements!!! DO YOUR HOMEWORK!! Don't start out halfway! People start replacement shops everyday, not knowing what they are into, DONT go there!! It is a nightmare! JMO, Scott
My best mentor one said " be fair with your priceing but never too low, be honest with your customer/competition, when the day is done be sure you have done "good works", and always leave something of value on the barganing table!!

While my friend and trainer/ mentor Ray has moved on, his words live.

About once a year AutoGlass Magazine puts out an issue that compares several popular software packages that allow you to bill insurance companies for repair and replacement. While there are some differences, all will work reasonably well for the purpose of billing, but if you are doing replacements there are some important differences features and price.

I don't get involved with the replacement side of it any more, but I believe eDirectGlass offers a free option for replacement customers. It is my understanding that they can offer this by getting suppliers to cover costs in exchange for advertising options.

I recommend that you contact AutoGlass Magazine to see if they can get you a back issue that has the information noted above and then call a few of the companies that sound like they offer what you are looking for. Switching from one software to another is not always all that fun, so it's best to make sure you get a good one when you start.

If you need contact info for AutoGlass or for some of the companies that offer insurance billing packages send me a PM and I will see what I can dig up for you.
