Broken Windshield

Post by glassdoctor »

Delta, please excuse me if I cross the line with this.

I have to mention for all here to not waste any of their time with the forum on website. (name cleaverly disguised to avoid lawsuits by said company  )

The moderators there will "clean up" any thread or posts that don't appeal to them. Some got deleted yesterday apparently due to a person's preferred wsr techniques, and others were deleted for no apparent reason at all.

Suppressing freedom of speech like this is childish and paranoid. I hope their "totalitarianism" does not have jurisdiction here. Is there a spell checker here?

I am glad to see that Delta is open minded enough to allow for people to express themselves respectfully. No degrading, name calling, flaming, of course. But open "discussion" yields knowledge.

P.S. Are there any other "good" forums? I like glasscentral, but nobody goes there anymore.

GlassDoctor,

I understand your frustrations, and have heard the exact same thing from many different sources.

We try to run this forum as fairly as possible. Unfortunately, since the company you mentioned is a competitor of ours, we feel that leaving their company name in your post could be construed as bias by us.

Also, i'm sure there are others that feel that simply leaving a truthful post alone would be the way to not show bias.

In these situations, we have to err on the side of caution, and just remove the name.

I hope you understand!

Fully understand where you are coming from. BUT... You have to understand that these boards are not operated or paid for by you nor I. Therefore, it is not OUR decision. If we do not like it, we have the option that you found, don't go there any longer. There are a couple that I have made this choice with.

I have been around for quite a long time. I have been on MANY, MANY boards. There are a couple out there that are just OK, and several that are just BAD!!!
Follow this link below. I can tell you that this is the BEST board that is out there right now. The moderators are not only professional and fair, but also respectful. They don't allow "jerks" to get away with most of the crap that other boards do. Again, you may not agree with all of the decisions they make, but you can always find another board.
Just for note, it is not worth getting upset over. Give yourself a check and move on. We can only hope that you will stick around here to not only help yourself, but to help others in our industry.
Anyway, here is the link... It's the best board going!!

As for the retards at , of course it's their forum, and they can do whatever they want with it. What they should do is take their ball and go home like the little brats they are... just shut the forum down.

I'm not all upset about it. I am not really surprised either, since I had heard negative things about the site... but it is still frustrating to see what goes on there. I should have known better than to try to help one of their ignorant customers...

Of course, public forums do need moderators to keep things under control and protect their name from slander, etc. BUT, anyone who knows the forum in question would agree that they step way out of bounds.

I am being pretty hard on them, calling them retards and all. But rest assured I don't normally resort to name-calling. I reserve such immature behavior for selected situations... like this. :D I don't feel bad slinging a little mud here. It's kinda fun. Don't take it too seriously... especially if you happen to be one of their customers, ha ha.

This is like one particular competitor I have in my area. I am careful not to speak negatively about my competion. I take the high road, except for this one guy who crossed the line. He has messed with my stuff while I worked at a car lot, and personally threatened me to stop working in "his area". Trust me, I don't feel bad about putting down him or his work. Maybe some of you have competitors like that too.

That's all for this public service announcement...
