Re: Do you pop bullseye in all stars?
Forgive me for asking CrackMagic, but your question causes me to ask, are you currently repairing windshields? If not I can understand the question, but if you are I am a bit perplexed.
Not only is it not true, it's ridiculous. The only reason I can imagine for using such a procedure is if the system you are using is not capable of filling star breaks. I'm blown away that anyone claiming to be a professional would recommend such a procedure.
No doubt someone on this forum is going to argue this point, and if that is something they "choose" to do they are welcome to their opinion, but to say this "should" be done, or "needs" to be done, or even that it will improve the finished quality of the repair is definitely false. It makes me cringe just watching it.

Sorry, I just read your previous posts and I see you are doing repairs. I meant no disrespect, but I really am perplexed if you took this video seriously.
Any chance I can talk you into a free training class? We'll have you doing great repairs on small tight star breaks with no drilling and no tapping within a couple of hours.

Re: Do you pop bullseye in all stars?
Brent-Thanks, I wanted to get confirmation that this seemed to contradict what I've learned. I commend you and Delta Kits for this forum, and I will certainly take you up on training if I can ever get up to Oregon.
Re: Do you pop bullseye in all stars?
Did anyone see the equipment and bridge he uses ??? Looks like 100% Delta to me .I wonder where he got the training though? I wonder how many go crackkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!!!! when he wails on them lol
Re: Do you pop bullseye in all stars?
Brent must of had a special training class for him...
Some one must hiding his head at this time having his bridge and injector being viewed by everyone. Or he is happy for the PR his equipment is receiving...

Re: Do you pop bullseye in all stars?
Dont know what the equipment the guy is using matters its the method its used guy gets drunk drives too fast goes into a ditch and gets killed its not the cars fault? Guy brains his boss with a wrench is it Snap Ons fault?
Lets get back to the video
Some are big believers in Popping bullseyes my belief is its never a good idea to make more damage to try to fix a chip the end result will never be as invisilble as if you just took your time and let your injector work it may make things quicker but not better

Re: Do you pop bullseye in all stars?
Yes this is a Delta Kits customer, and a good one that I may lose because of my comments, but that is exactly why I felt the need to speak up. This is not a technique that has ever been taught by Delta Kits! You will also notice that like many of you on this forum, this windshield repair technician is using more than one brand of equipment, and most of his techniques are probably self taught.
That is not necessarily wrong, nor is the technique any more wrong than much of the advice given by many "experts" on the windshield repair forum in my opinion. My point was simply to state that this technique is not necessary, and that I do not agree with it.
The technician that made this video is obviously confident in his techniques and has every right to show others, however I am tempted to remove the link from this thread as it will likely get far more views from the exposure here than it would have had if the link had not been posted here.

I would like to hear "screenman's" input on this. Is there anyone that has more experience than he?
