Best software for replacement and repair business?

Post by NEW GLASS GUY »

Hello all,

Firstly, thanks for all of the useful information that I've been able to find by searching this forum.

I am seeking the best software available to process insurance claim submissions for both repair and replacement. I have seen so many variables discussed here and on the various vendor websites, my head is spinning.

Here is what I have personally narrowed it down to:

Elmo (EDI software)
Mitchell

We do about 250 replacement claims per month and 100 repairs. I would like to keep the cost of the submission down; however, I'd like not to have to pay a fortune for the software itself.

Please let me know what you ladies and gentlemen feel is the best software for my particular situation.

Respectfully,

John

Have you talked to eDirectGlass? How about GTS? I only ask because a lot of the shops we go into are using these products.

I hadn't looked at either thus far. After viewing the eDirectGlass site and speaking to them on the phone, I still can't figure out what the catch might be.... It really seems like a decent piece of software. Not to mention, their office is 4 blocks away!

Anyone else using the eDirectGlass software?

There are a limited number of replacement guys that frequent this forum. Have you asked eDirectGlass for references? Maybe they could give you the number of a few people that are using their product.
