Safe Fax
Safe Fax
Hi, I am just starting out with my part time repair business and I was wondering if I need a fax machine and a dedicated line or can I get by with an office service? Should I wait until I know that I need one? Some models are advertised to share an existing phone line, Are they reliable and is this feature workable? Thanks for your input.

Re: Safe Fax
If you have a scanner, you could get a fax line from efax or another online place like that. They email faxes to you and you can fax to other people by emailing a scan of your document. It's about the same price as another phone line but you dont have to invest in any equipment (if you already have a scanner), and you only print faxes that you need a hard copy of, thereby saving ink.
If you only need to receive faxes and not send, then there's the option of a free online fax service.

Re: Safe Fax
I use Trustfax and am very happy. $4.95 a month for 100 incoming and 50 outgoing. I have a local number, but they offer toll free as well. I hope this helps.
