Hello All!!
Fairly new to the business but I understand how it all works. We'll be doing a lot of insurance and retail work, but would like to build a nice base of fleet clients.
It's apparent that the service is much needed around here, as we were able to round-up a fleet account 0f 50 cars on the first cold call visit.
So now we want to hit the ground running.
Is there some sort of fleet directory that lists addresses of fleets in the area?

Where are you located at? Golden Pages and internet search engines make a good start.

A lot of your service companys are going to be hard to find in the yellowpages.com.I am talking about companys like coal trucks, dump trucks, hwy builders. You will stumble on to a lot of them why you are out hustling.A lot of these guys have their business out in the middle of no where. If you see a driver, ask him where they are located.Good luck!

Also; chamber of commerce, business clubs, associations, ask your current customers whether they ''know'' a new customer for you, ask drivers you meet down the road, look for obvious signing on buildings, down the road etc. don't be too modest, go out, do your rounds, communicate and ask!Frank EU;32162 wrote:Where are you located at? When we talk about fleet customers it means anyone with several vehicles everything from Cab companies to Construction companies anyone with multiple vehicles so no there isnt a tell all book somewhere other than the phone book fleet customers are found by looking if you drive by a place with a bunch of vehicles pull in and introduce yourself
