New look for the Windshield Repair Forum

Post by Brent Deines »

Okay folks, we made some minor changes to the forum format today, so don't panic if things look a bit different. I wasn't all that crazy about it at first, but the more I use it the more I like it, so please poke around a bit and let me know if there are any issues that need to be addressed. There will no doubt be a few bugs we need to work out, so please be patient as we get used to the new format. If you would like to comment on the new look or feel of the windshield repair forum, please post in the Forum Feedback forum.

The new forum offers increased security for members, and a more up to date set of tools for the moderators. I hope you all like the changes, but I am open to feedback either way.

I have had a few complaints about not being able to login under the new forum format. We hope to identify the problem and correct it soon, but in the mean time here is what you need to do if you are experiencing difficulties logging in.

If your password does not work or you have forgotten your password, please click on the "reset password" button on the login screen and follow the instructions for resetting your password. Within minutes you will be sent an e-mail with a new temporary password, and a link that will take you to the page where you will enter your user name and the new password. Once the password is reset you will be able to login and change your password in the user control panel. THIS WILL NOT EFFECT YOUR POST COUNT OR USER NAME.

This will only work if your current e-mail matches the e-mail that you had when you signed up for the windshield repair forum originally and/or if you have kept your e-mail address up to date in your preferences.

If you continue to experience difficulties with your login please e-mail me at bdeines@deltakits.com. I will reset your password and send you a temporary password that you can login with. Just be sure to change it after you get logged in.

Sorry for the inconvenience!

How do you avoid getting unwanted emails everytime someone posts on a thread you have commented on?

Glass Starz,

In the upper portion of this screen, just underneath the Board Index, look for the User Control Panel button, click that button, when the next screen appears, go to Manage Subscriptions. At this point, you can unsubscribe to each forum.
