Re: cracks
Esprit 1974 method I presume, capilery action is the way forward where ever possible, a search on this site would give up a wealth of information. In training we always without exception cover cracks up tp 6 inches in lenght. Got too keep it covered and get the moisture out first.
Re: cracks
yes thats it . The star break thing we was talking about ,could that have been moisture in the star break legs ,when i tried to flex the leg there was no movement at all

Re: cracks
You really need to get over here. It would have been moisture unless of course the car had just sat in a turned on spray booth for the last couple of hours, or not been outside since June.

Re: cracks
I am a little worried here, yesterday you did not know about dry out and premature curing today it is simple cracks and yet you can do good repairs. Glad we have helped you become a better repair guy in the last couple of days, when you come over to pick up your Maxim why not pop in I am only a couple of miles away.
Re: cracks
I have been doing repairs for years but it was bish bash bosh if you no what i mean , We have never repaired cracks we would just replace the screen .The repair was rush rush you spend about 10 minutes on a repair because you are so busy ,and the the customer was not bothered how it looked as long as it dont spread . But since I have thought about going on my own I want to do the job as good as i can .I have always had the know how but its things like dry out and other little detail things which I have been missing so now I am still fitting windscreens and repairs untill January .But the repairs I am spending more time on them and using ideas from these forums . I am getting really good results .But today I had a bulls eye , there was black in there i could`nt shift ,plus it had started de-lamming .The cracks is something I need to practice I have never done a crack in 15 years .Yes I would really like to come and see you , do you have a depot over there or are you mobile . Ever since I have decided to go down this root everybody I speak to is very friendly and wants to help a share there knowledge , I love it .Do you recommend the maxim I like how everything is there in one unit ,the only problem I could see was doing coaches and trucks because of the hose but I will sort that out

Re: cracks
The black is air, it is possible a replacement company had attempted arepair before, blocking your way in, but still a very possible repair. I have 2 places where I train people in Lincoln and also in Gloucestershire and Southampton, so no I am not mobile but you takes your choice. I am a very proffesional training centre, most likely the only one in the UK unless someone knows otherwise. I suggest you do not go out on your own until you have everything in place. We give advise on tools and how to repair as well as on marketing, accounting and general business advice.
Re: cracks

Re: cracks
The best thing to do is contact Delta and they will give you my number, it is not fair or correct to advertise on here, other than to say I will get you into profit quicker and easier than anyone else in the UK
