Brian,
A lot of paint touch up guys use the term "rock chip repair" or just "chip repair", so I'd definitely add "windshield" in there somewhere. "rock chip windshield repair" or "windshield rock chip repair" might work out good. I know I had "windshield repair" on my van, and I'd get calls for replacements--some people still don't know about windshield repair, so adding "rock chip" might help. I got a new business vehicle, so this time I put pictures of damage right on the truck. I get a good response from it.

I was just kidding, Brian.
"Windshield Repair" is the KISS solution to your question.
That's what we do regardless of what caused the damage.
I don't even like to refer to them as "chips" when talking to a potential customer.
And, I don't.
Sounds to me like something that can be ignored until they finally get around to repairing it when, in reality, it's a cracked windshield.
Are we more inclined to fix a "chip" or a "crack"?

Brian:
My experience is many people refer to repair as replacement; ( I tried windshield repair first) I have taken many a call for a repair in which they really needed a replacement.
Windshield rock chip repair works, but is long for signage; I have found the shorter and to the point better.
Try "Windshield Chip Repair", although this will get you some calls to repair pits.

I added a 3" X 24" strip on the back of my truck that says
"Ask about FREE rock chip repair", in addition to my normal signage.
This cost $5 to have made and it has incresed the amount of inquiries substantially from people that see me on the road.I too, get a lot of calls for replacement from my YP ads even though I specify "windshield Repair" along with the pics of different rock chip types.I just refer them to my buddy down the road, and he reciprocates work to me.

See what I mean, Brian.
No matter what you advertise, they'll contact you if they happen to be sober and un-drugged at the time and have the wits to write down your business phone number.
And, if you can't do the job, you refer it for a kick-back to someone who can replace it.
I believe in the KISS concept and the older I get the more I believe in that and the Peter Principle.
