BROWN HEADLIGHTS CAN'T THEY SEE?

Post by abcinabq »

There has to be a way to get drivers serious about fixing those brown dead headlights they drive with. They look like horrible and make the whole car look the same way.
How are companies helping to get the word our to the public and media on the benifits of headlight repair. I think most of the public have priced the replacements and fell over from price shock. They don't know we can fix um for a fraction.

abc, in all honesty, I don't think most consumers know that it can be done. I do the service as an add on and have not persued it as much as I should have. It seems when I ask someone if they would like to get the headlights restored they have no clue as to what I am talking about. Therefore, from now on I am planning to push this service and make people aware of the safetly as well as cost savings of the service. Keep in mind, someone can't buy what they don't know about.

I have had very pleasing results with going to all my repair shops in the area that provide state inspections. When they see a car come in with the headlights like that, they refer them to me to restore them so they can pass inspection.

That is great to have the state inspections on your side for harvesting new business. The state I live in has no inspection for this cause. The states should mandate better safety standards to help all drivers with safer road conditions. Even the or should I say most commercial service fleets are just as bad, ignoring one of the most important parts of the fleet, headlights. I really think I'll start marketing this more indepth. Information on the web is hard to find, about the safety aspects of driving with unclear lenses. There was a YouTube video awhile back that was from a news report somewhere on the east coast, but it has been removed and I have never found any others that talk about any type of research being done on the plastic lens deterioration. The auto manufacturers are no, I'm sure they love having to sell thier over-priced replacements. It has opened up an entire industry in the aftermarket lens sales.
If anyone knows where I can find more on any research or reporting that can be documented I would love to have it.

An Acrylic lens Deoxidizer will remove the brown from the headlight lens instantly without sanding.

Let's get some feedback, guys. What do you think about the ALR if you've tried it?
