Windscreen Repair Handbook
Windscreen Repair Handbook
Hello this one is for Brent and Screenman. Have either of you two ever made a handbook about windscreen repairs, With helpful hints and tips and get out of jail tips etc . Just a little handbook that you can keep in your van and get ideas from it . I would pay for something like that especially with the knowledge and experience you two have.

Re: Windscreen Repair Handbook
I must admit I have tried and failed miserably, I may have some idea of what works but putting it into a manual is beyond my very limited skills. Also whatever Brent or I might say or think someone else will certainly disagree.
Many thanks for what I take as a compliment.

Re: Windscreen Repair Handbook
I too appreciate your vote of confidence, but I'm afraid I don't have what you are looking for either, not yet anyway.
We have always used a very small, very simple instruction manual, with some frequently asked questions in the back. One of my employees put a copy of that manual on my desk about 6 months ago with instructions to get off my butt and do some updating. Unfortunately it is still sitting there, but it is on my priority list so hopefully I will get to it before too long. What I have in mind is keeping the basic instructions very simple, but expanding the FAQ section to include "my" answers to every question my employees can think of, and everything I have answered on this forum. I've been putting it off as it will be a somewhat daunting task, but I do feel it will be very helpful for Delta Kits users once complete. It may also make a good dart board for anyone who has been trained by other companies.
Maybe we can even do a section on non-Delta Kits approved procedures that screenman and and other industry veteran users recommend. Soooooo, how much are you willing to pay?

Re: Windscreen Repair Handbook
Hi glad you both replied i really do suck in what both of you have to give, with all your experience and time given to windscreen repairs.I am sure both of you could bang your heads together and come up with a great manual covering all aspects of windscreens repair.it doesn't matter what kit you use they all do the same job at the end of the day.The thing I am asking is if two people with both your experience could make such a manual it would be a massive help to people like me all over the world trying to repair a chip, on there own ,in a van ,in Blackpool or Miami .Its like today I had a bats wing it was very tight .When I got home I looked on the forum and found some useful info but I don't have the internet in my van. Brent and screenman I would pay good dosh for your knowledge.

Why not just take the Delta Kits training. Then if you have a problem, call for tech support.
That's what I do.
