Is anyone really making good money with wsr or is this just something to supplement their existing income? Im not looking to make a million...id just like to make some good money and stop living paycheck to paycheck and be able to quit my 9 to 5 job.

Good question, to answer your question yes you can make a full time income with this business. I personaly make between $5,000 to $6,000 a month just messing with this. I could and should one of these days get serious about this business. My problem is that for me it is so easy I tend to get lazy. Anyway I hope that helps.

Just like any other business..... your level of success depends with you and your dedication to it. If you present yourself well, learn how to provide quality repairs, don't cheat your customers and get them to trust you...you can make a decent living doing this. Will you accomplish that in your first year? It's possible....but truthfully I think it will take 2-3 years of hard work to reach your financial goals. I have a few friends in this business that are making 6 figures. All of them have 7 years plus experience. Even know of a husband and wife combo that did over $250,00 in sales last year. Be nice to have a woman like that on your team! As for myself.....I just keep dreaming about finding that woman!

Take some time and read every posting you can find on this forum. It will help you make the right decision.

I used to own an electronic repair shop for 7 years, had 8 employees and headaches 24/7. With the influx of cheapo tv,s dvd players ect, I had to close my doors for good.

So I had a friend who does paint touchup and makes over 100 K a year, talked to him and he was willing to train me. I was pumped, decided to train for one month to be sure I was good at it. Well after one month I was very good at painting, minor body work, blending and clear coat.

What I didn,t learn was how to be a salseman! Job number one in this business. I was better than most people in this area (Treasure Coast FL), but I could not get much work. Most dealers had people in place and did not want to give someone else a chance.

After seeing someone make 500-800 a day and not being able to survive on my own was a real bummer. Got some work here and there but not enough to survive, after 4 months of struggling went back to a full time job. Now I have a stedy income, my wife stopped bitchin and everyone is happy again.

I still love being around the auto repair biz and looked into windshield repair systems. Bought a kit and practiced and practiced until the repairs looked good. So now I do 2-3 repairs a week and will keep doing this until enough work comes my way to make a good living, and get word of mouth referals, and repeat customers. Then I will consider quitting my ho hum job and doing this full time.

This is a long winded way to get my point across, but get your feet wet do it part time and see how far you can go before you quit your job. You might make it, you may not, this is a safe way to test the waters.

I'm a school teacher and love doing it part-time. I get off at 3:15 and do about 5 per week. It is eating out $ and lots of extra money. I always have $ in my pocket w/o going to the ATM. I advertise on my van and get referells from 2 glass shops. It's really all I want. $200 per week.
Best side business in the world. My friends laugh w/ me when I buy 2 large pizza's 4 drinks and TCBY for my family and I say "I just took my family out for a good night for 2 hours and all it cost me was .20 worth of resin and 20 minutes of my time". I call my w/s tool box a Money Making Machine.

I hope your freinds don't want to get into this after they find out how much you make doing repairs. They will jump in and under cut you. then you will only be able to buy 1 pizza and 2 drinks.
