Damaged area would not fill???

Hello fellow wsr techs!
The following was discussed with Korey today but I'd like to know what you all think.
Went out today to service a customers car today "Detail" in doing my initial walk around I noticed a very unique looking bullseye. I t was on the lower right side of the glass about 2" from the bottom and 1" from the pillar post of the ws.
It was like half of a bullseye with a deeply thick crack up the backside closest to the pillar post. Of course I seen green lights as this would be an upsell. The customer
Was notified and I was awarded the attempt to repair it. In talking with the customer she said that the dealership caused the bullseye, how we have no clue and that they said they injected something into it so they say. I must admit it looked awfully strange.
She let me know it was about 6 months old. I proceeded in my call to Korey for questions. Here's what I did.
The point of impact hole was deep so I didn't drill. After my repair process the unusal bullseye was still there.
I decided that if I drilled just a bit maybe my resin would flow thinking that's why its still there. Even after drilling. It was still there and showed no sign of improvement.
Do you think that whatever the dealership injected into the damaged area may have caused my process not to. Work?
Just to let you know it was about mid 70's out, I did use my evap before starting the repair, just to ensure no moisture was present from the wash. And I use delta!

Chad you did the right thing and called tech support if your not sure. No one better to answer your questions than Delta. If in fact the delaership made an attempt to repair the chip and depending on how much resin actually made it into the void, it certainly is possible and more than likey is the cause. I am not a big fan or re-repairing but if it is that bad of job you could drill into the open void and fill. Use common sense! Know that cosmetically it would be more noticable though.

Cured resin from the previous attempt probably blocked your resin from filling the chip. Do as SGT recommends and drill into the area that looks like it doesn't have resin in it. I drill part way down and then pop a bulls eye in the bottom to open up a better passageway into the break. Sometimes doctoring other peoples work comes out great, other times not so good. If you need to you can drill more holes but sometimes it isn't reasonable to do too much of this. These kind of things are a judgment call, and each one is different. You did the right thing by seeking help. I wish there had been cell phones around when I got started!

Yes I utilize tech support a lot more than maybe I should. Ill have to say Korey has bEen a great coach. He's always there , willing and very supportive. I sent a email to him I think on a sunday night. My intent was he would get monday morning. He replied back shortly after I sent it.
I want to try and replicate this bullseye on my practice glass so that I can try different techniques to see if I can get it to fill.
This has to be the best way for me and my crew to get hands-on.

Every chip is different.
Trying to replicate it may not be possible..
Since the dealership already tried to fix it ; its most likely plugged up.
I would leave it alone and move on.
Next chip please!!
